Catherine is a senior Advanced Nurse Practitioner with over 36 years’ experience in the NHS and a qualified Independent Nurse Prescriber since 2009; She is educated to Masters Level in Advanced Practice and has been practicing Aesthetics since 2017. Registered with the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) her nursing career provided her with substantial experience in a critical care environment and an in depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology, infection control, basic and advanced life support and multiple skills of which are necessary to be a competent and safe aesthetics practitioner.
Her injection skills are exemplary due to the nature of her clinical work in Intensive Care. She utilises the skills gained as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to perform thorough and comprehensive patient assessments, determine a diagnosis and formulate a plan of care. Referring patients to specialities that are outside her scope of practice is a key element to her role.
AESTHETICS
After training in a leading aesthetics establishment, Catherine opened her own home clinic in 2017. This has recently expanded to a purpose built, state of the art private clinic providing a professional clinical environment where all your medical aesthetics needs will be met.
Catherine prides herself on prioritising patient safety and satisfaction and is committed to providing the highest quality industry standards and treatments to all her patients. She strives for natural treatment results and ensures she updates her training and education to continually develop her knowledge and skills.
Catherine has a special interest in skin and skin care and has undertaken extensive training with Obagi Medical. She frequently helps patients with a variety of skin concerns to improve their skin condition and become skin confident.
Catherine is an active member of BACN (British Association of Cosmetic Nurses), ACE Group World (Aesthetics Complications Experts), COMMA (Community for Medical Aesthetics), and is insured with Enhance Insurance Services. She is trained to manage complications should any arise. She continues to update her skills in a rapidly changing field by attending regular advanced training and industry conferences and regularly participates in educational webinars. This ensures her patients benefit from the latest evidence based practices, procedures and products.
